Privacy policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026.
In short
- We keep what we need to run your account and your kitchen: who you are, what you enter, and the lines we read from your invoices.
- Invoice photos and PDFs go to Anthropic's Claude API to be read. We don't keep the file, only the lines it returns.
- We never sell your data, use it for advertising, or train AI models on it.
- You can see, correct, export and delete your data at any time.
- Questions go to benn@hvid.studio. We reply within 30 days.
Who runs Mise n' Price
Mise n' Price is run by HvidStudio (לבן שיווק), a company registered in Israel, at 28 Hanina Ben Dosa St., Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel. In this policy, "we" means HvidStudio and Mise n' Price.
For your account and your kitchen's data, we are the controller (in Israeli law, the "database owner"). That means we decide why and how it is used, and we are responsible for it. Mise n' Price is for businesses and professional cooks.
What we collect
We collect only what Mise n' Price needs in order to work. This is the full list.
- Your account. Your name, your email, and the identifier Google or Apple gives us if you sign in with them. Apple may give us a private relay email instead of your real one. That works fine.
- Your kitchen. Who the members are, and the invitations you send.
- What you enter. Recipes, ingredients and their prices, batches and yields, menu prices, and your currency and VAT settings.
- What we read from invoices. Supplier name, item lines, quantities, prices and totals. An invoice can also hold other people's details, such as a supplier's contact or a staff name. We use it only to pull out the lines for you.
- Billing. Handled by our payment provider. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Basic technical data. Sign-in sessions, error reports and server logs, so the app works and we can fix it when it breaks.
We use this to run your account and kitchen, read your invoices, send you account emails (sign-in, invitations, receipts), bill you, keep Mise n' Price secure, and fix bugs. We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising. We don't train AI models on your kitchen data.
What happens to your invoices
When you scan or upload an invoice, the image or PDF is sent to Anthropic's Claude API, which reads the lines. We send the file and our reading instructions, not your name or email.
We do not keep the invoice image or file. Only the data it gives back is saved: supplier, items, quantities, prices and totals. You can correct any line.
An invoice can hold other people's details, so please upload only invoices that belong to your own business.
What Anthropic does with it. By default, Anthropic deletes what we send and what it returns within up to 30 days, and does not train its models on it. Its policy has exceptions, for example content that its safety systems flag as breaking its usage policy, or anything the law requires it to keep. The details are on Anthropic's pages: how long it stores data and its commercial terms.
Keep your originals. Mise n' Price is not an archive. Keep your original invoices for your own bookkeeping and tax records. We won't have them.
Who else handles your data
We use a few other companies to run Mise n' Price. They handle your data only to do the job described here. The table names each company, what it does for us, the data it handles and where it is.
Planned for launch. Listed as of 2026-10-24.

Cookies
We use only the cookies we need to keep you signed in and remember your settings. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies, and no analytics today. If we ever add analytics, we will update this policy first.
How long we keep it
These are the real numbers, not "as long as necessary".
- Account and kitchen data: for as long as your account is active.
- After you delete your account: removed from the live database within 30 days, and from backups within a further 7 days. Backups are kept for no more than 7 days.
- Invoice files: not kept by us. Anthropic keeps them for up to 30 days, as above.
- Error reports and logs: up to 90 days.
- Billing and tax records: as long as Israeli tax law requires, generally 7 years. They are held by our billing provider and in our bookkeeping.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export and delete your data. Export gives you a copy of your kitchen data in a common format. When accounts open, you can do all of this yourself from your account settings. You can also email benn@hvid.studio, and you never need to give a reason. We reply within 30 days, and we may ask you to confirm it's you.
In Israel, your rights come from the Privacy Protection Law, 1981, including Amendment 13, which has been in force since August 2025. If something is wrong, you can complain to the Privacy Protection Authority (הרשות להגנת הפרטיות).
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you also have the rights the GDPR gives you, including access, correction, erasure, portability, restriction and objection. You can complain to your local data protection authority.
Where your data travels
Mise n' Price is run from Israel. Some of the companies above are in the EU and some are in the US, so your data can leave Israel. Your data is processed by providers in the EU (Render and Supabase, in Frankfurt) and in the United States (Anthropic, for reading invoice photos and recipes). Transfers outside Israel and the EU are covered by those providers' standard contractual clauses. We share only what each provider needs.
How we keep it safe
- Connections to Mise n' Price are encrypted in transit.
- Our providers encrypt stored data at rest.
- Only the two people who run Mise n' Price can reach kitchen data, and only when needed, for example to fix a problem you ask us about.
- Each kitchen's data is kept separate from every other kitchen's.
No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that nothing will ever go wrong. If something affects your data, we will tell you, as the law requires.
Children
Mise n' Price is for businesses and professional cooks. It is not meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
The date at the top shows when this policy last changed. If we make a material change, we email you before it takes effect.
